If one day soon you are watching TV and suddenly a news anchor breaks into your show announcing that many people around the world have disappeared that means you have been left behind. You need to know that it was not an alien abduction, or a solar flare, or anything the news anchors might say other than Jesus calling His devoted followers to Him before the tribulation. Be reassured if any of your friends or family members disappear, they are safe with Jesus.
Biblical prophecy tells us that Jesus will catch His followers up in the clouds with Him.
“For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 ESV).
This future event is called the Rapture. All who have made Jesus Lord of their life will be caught up in the clouds with Him. There is dispute over when this event will take place. Many followers of Christ believe it will be prior to the tribulation. The tribulation is a period of seven years described in the Bible as the most horrific time the earth has ever experienced. The following bible verses show believers being removed from the earth before God’s wrath.
- “ Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth.” (Revelation 3:10 NIV).
- “and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead, Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.” (1 Thessalonians 1:10 ESV).
All of Biblical prophecy to date has come true. This leads people to believe the remaining Biblical prophecies will happen.
You have two options:
- You can continue to live your life as you currently do, knowing many horrific things are going to occur during the following seven years, cursing God as many people will.
- You acknowledge that Jesus is the Son of God and repent of your sins and make Him Lord of your life. Horrific things are still going to occur during the next seven years, but you will experience the peace that surpasses all understanding with Jesus by your side.
How do you ask Jesus to be your Savoir?
- Salvation is when you acknowledge that Jesus Christ is the son of God and the only way to be saved is through Jesus. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NIV)
- You recognized that you are a sinner, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Roman 3:23 NIV)
- You ask Jesus to forgive you, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (I John 1:9 NIV)
- Jesus defeated death, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” (Romans 10:9 NIV)
Salvation is a gift from God. There is no amount of money that can save you. There is no amount of good works you can do to save yourself.” “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV)
The choice is yours……
